Shelving

Glasses | Pot | Shoe

This clay sculpture Shelving series presents closely embedded household and personal objects, shifting them to vessels for memory not through symbolism, but through lived association. The works are inspired by the texture of dead coral to evoke loss, yet rather than signifying what remains after loss, they consider what continues to stay.

Memory is not assigned but activated. What is held dear varies from person to person, shaped by individual experiences and histories. Shelving reflects how attachment and memory persist through the ordinary.
